Welcome to the very first issue of Weekend Driver!
Every issue will showcase interesting and distinctive finds in the car enthusiast marketplace. Weekend Driver aims to provide curated listings with our take to help match the right car with the right driver.
We’ve got some heavy metal on the block today, so let’s dig in…
2011 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Mileage: 1,900
Price: Auction Ending Friday May 29, 2020
Link: Bring a Trailer
C6 ZR1’s are an incredible bang for your buck if that’s your cup of tea. Typically hovering in the $50-70k range this one will likely go high due to the extremely low mileage. For an essentially brand new ZR1, $80k is a great value.
2009 Porsche 911 (997.2) C2S
Mileage: 28,611
Price: $51,500
Link: Rennlist
This 997.2 C2S looks to be the perfect driver. The mileage is high enough to have depreciated it nicely, but not so high where you have to worry. With the .2, there are no IMS concerns; all you need is regular maintenance and you’ll have miles of smiles. The car is optioned perfectly in a classic British Racing Green over tan interior, with some very nice carbon fiber accents. Sadly the car was involved in a minor accident, which is a major strike against it, but the seller does have pictures of the incident which may provide some peace of mind to a prospective buyer.
2018 Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3
Mileage: 2,953
Price: $162,500
Link: ToyBarn
This particular GT3 isn’t my taste with the PDK transmission and comfort seats, but the color is AMAZING. (Nothing frustrates me more then when an original owner is given a PTS allocation , yet chooses some special flavor of black 🤦♂️). However, this guy did it right. The Ultraviolet Metallic looks amazing and I think it’s priced right. I’m sure it will quickly find a new home.
2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition
Mileage: 4,500
Price: Auction Ending Friday May 29, 2020
Link: Bring a Trailer
Nothing beats Gulf Livery. This heritage GT is exactly the spec I’d want in my garage. This car will most likely bring BIG money on BaT and should make for a good show in the final minutes. I shouldn’t need to say much more to convince you on this car. I highly recommend jumping over to the auction page to check out the gallery of this beauty.
2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia 16M
Mileage: 445
Price: $499,000
Link: iLusso
When I first saw this car I thought I was imagining the carbon weave on the hood. Nope. This is a factory red exposed carbon F430 Scuderia 16M. I didn’t even know Ferrari was doing this level of customization back in 2009. I’m sure it is an amazing sight in person. It is truly a work of art, as evidenced by the ridiculously low mileage. Most will never hear this V8 wail, but you can jump over to iLusso’s website and at least see the full gallery. Don’t miss those red carbon wheels!
